    After living in an apartment complex that only offered Charter as the option I was forced to live under the Charter Nazi Regime for a year. I have never yelled at any customer service person on the phone until Charter. The service is out all the time and it is impossible to have someone assist you. As I just moved I was able to get DIRECT TV, however I needed to have Charter come pick up their equipment. And so, they scheduled me for Sept 18. all day. And although I calmly informed them I had moved out and no longer lived there, and a smaller window would be great so I didn't have to sit in an empty apartment all day, they refused to work something out. I feel it impossible to ever hate something the way I hated Charter.

    We have had Charter phone for over a year and now have internet wifi and cable bundled in and the service has been great. The installation was problem free, the two guys who came to do it were professional and kind, and we haven't had any problems with the service at all. Very pleased.

    I just want to start this by saying that I am a patient person. When I move to Florissant in September we arranged to have my service switched the weekend of the 10th. They did not show and had apparently rescheduled my appointment to the following weekend without any notification. A week and a half after they finally do get it installed my cable quits working and take about 4 days to get service out to my house again. When they show up it turns out that someone else in my neighborhood had their service canceled and since the connections were all unmarked they just disconnected one, which happened to be mine.

    A charter salesman calls on the November 25th offering me a very nice bundle deal so I forget the past problems and decided to take it. We arrange to have installation on December3rd between 1-5 because changing phone carriers has to be done during the week according to them. I take a vacation day so I can be here (this is my last one for the year btw). I don't call them until 4:45 since the last 2 times they came it was at the very end of the time window. When I call customer service tells me that I am scheduled for the 7th between 8-10. After explaining to them that I’m not stupid and did not get these dates and times confused the rep actually said that the sales person was only worried about the sale and most likely didn't check to see if the time was available. So I guess charter is fine with the old bait and switch, thinking that I will be fine with taking another day off to get their crappy service. The only thing the customer service reps could say was sorry even when I canceled to appointment and the new services I was buying. This is by and far the worst company I have ever dealt with. When they are going to be held accountable for their incredibly poor service? Please do yourself a favor and use any company but them. Personally I am going to look into AT&T satellite for the first time just so I never have to deal with them again.

    AT&T is now offering U-Verse TV and Internet Service. Basically you get TV over their new fiber network. It's cheaper and more dependable than Cable or Satellite

    Switching to Direct T V: This company dose not care about its clients you can't even get some one to talk to you about when service will be restore. I looking at switching to other companies

    SWITCHING TO DIRECT TV: WE HAVE BEEN WITHOUT TV FOR 5 DAYS AND WHEN YOU TRY TO GET CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU GET SOME UNINTELLIGIBLE PERSON IN THE PHILLIPINES...THEY LIE TO YOU AND CANT GIVE YOU A HONEST ANSWER WHEN SERVICE WILL BE REINSTALLED. CRUMMY COMPANY

    WORST customer service ever: There is absolutely nothing I like about this company. Their customer service is absolutely unreliable. I was over charged by about $200 which was charged to my credit card since I had AUTO-PAY. Terrible mistake. I called at least once a week for 6 weeks trying to get a refund. Every week I called they promised the problem was fixed and apologized for the inconvenience. They instructed me to call them in a week to verify the status. Every time I called the following week, any record of me calling the previous did not exist and I had to start over. Charter has no respect for your time. After the 6 weeks I got tired of dealing with Charter and filed fradulent charges with VISA. Thank god for VISA. Avoid dealing with Charter at all costs. GET SATELLITE.

    Telephone service: I'm very disappointed with the telephone service. My phone doesn't work when the power is off, long distance is not "free" as advertised (long story there) and when I tried to switch back to my last service, I cannot because I now have completely different equipment which I was not advised of when Charter telephone was offered and made available.
